Wengen renowned as the setting for the spectacular Lauberhorn World Cup Ski Races, lies on a sheltered sun terrace at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau massif. Beginners use the ski training area in the centre of the village; more experienced skiers ride via the Wengernalp Railway to the nearby ski resort of Kleine Scheidegg-MŠnnlichen, which has 110 slopes that primarily range from easy to medium difficulty. To get the feel of a professional ski racer, skiing the famous World Cup downhill course on the Lauberhorn will provide the highlight of your day. The neighbouring Grindelwald-First ski area of the Jungfrau region is also within easy reach.
